It’s safe to say I LOVE makeup. I love trying new looks and using fun colors and different products. However, I also go most days without wearing any makeup at all! I work from home and so let’s face it most of us don’t put on makeup just to stay home. I’ve also changed as I’ve gotten older and now my usual makeup routine is much simpler than it used to be. I mostly use natural looking colors and keep it simple. I’ve posted a video of me getting ready on my Youtube channel so I’ll post that link below for you. But for this blog post here’s a list of the products I use for my simple day time routine.
Proper skin care is super important and I’ll elaborate on that in another post. For now, let’s start with after I do my skin care routine. I use Maskcara Beauty products. They are a direct sales company that I LOVE. It took me a while to figure out the contouring thing since it wasn’t popular when I was growing up and starting to learn how to do my makeup. Maskcara products make it simple and the products are great. In my video I’m using my “summer” colors. Each of my compounds have four dishes; Contour, Highlight, Blush, and Illuminator. My colors are Amber Highlight, Indigo Contour, Nude Blush, and Rose Gold Illuminator. I use the 30 sec HAC brush to apply these and then I use their amazing beauty blender to blend it all in.
For my eyes I like to use eyeshadow as eye liner. I simply use a small brush to apply it the same way I would eyeliner. I have hazel eyes and oranges and browns make my eyes pop really nicely. I use the Urban Decay Naked Basics Pallette and I use the color Extra Bitter. The brush that comes with that palette has a smaller side that works really well for the eye liner. I get lots of subscription boxes so for mascara I usually just use one of those but for this video I used Tartes Artist mascara.
I use ITCosmetics Bye Bye Pores for my setting powder under my eyes and I always make sure to brush away any excess powder. I finish off my look with an all over face powder from Physicians Formula. For my lips I used a nude shade of liquid lipstick from Tarte Cosmetics called Rose. I always end with my Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray and I’m ready to go! I’ve linked all the products along with the tutorial video below! Be sure to comment with any questions or suggestions and subscribe to my page to get email notifications of new blog posts!
